About this policy

NYC Adjuster Guide is a directory for people researching public adjusters serving New York City. This policy covers this website and inquiries sent to its directory team. It does not cover a listed firm's website or services. Sending a directory inquiry does not appoint a public adjuster or file a claim with an insurer.

Information you provide

The contact form asks for your name, email address, and message, with an optional phone number. It also sends the listing name when your inquiry relates to a recognized listing. A hidden company field helps reject automated submissions. Please include only information needed for your inquiry; do not send passwords, Social Security numbers, payment details, or complete claim files through this general contact form.

How contact messages are handled

The form sends your details to our contact service, which uses Resend to email the directory team and sets your email address as the reply-to address. We use the message to understand and respond to your request or investigate a listing issue. This workflow does not automatically send your message to the listed business. Messages and replies may remain in the recipient mailbox and email service records.

Website analytics

Our analytics service records page paths, referring website hostnames, broad device categories, country codes where available, first-visit counts, and selected click labels. In addition to daily totals, contact-related clicks may be stored with a timestamp, page, and country. These events do not contain the details typed into the contact form. The Cookie Policy describes the visitor cookie, localStorage preference, and analytics opt-out.

Technical request information

Hosting and delivery providers receive technical request data, which can include IP addresses, browser headers, cookies, and requested URLs. The analytics collector uses request headers for country-level reporting, bot checks, and temporary rate limiting. A random browser identifier should not be treated as a guarantee of anonymity. Avoid placing sensitive information in page URLs.

Providers and external websites

Vercel provides hosting and request handling, Resend delivers contact emails, and Google Cloud Firestore stores analytics records for our analytics service. These providers process information to supply those functions; processing and storage locations depend on their services and configurations. See Vercel privacy information, Resend privacy information, and Google Cloud privacy information. Links to listed firms and reference sources lead to websites governed by their own policies.

Retention and security

The analytics cookie expires up to 365 days after it is refreshed; the opt-out preference has no fixed expiry. Contact correspondence and analytics records have separate storage lifetimes, and this policy does not specify a fixed deletion period for those records. Use the contact page to ask about a particular record or request deletion. Information can also remain in provider records or backups. The public site uses HTTPS, but no website or email service can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and requests

You can choose not to submit the form, leave the phone field blank, and turn off analytics for this browser. To ask about access, correction, or deletion of information you provided, use the contact page and identify the approximate date and email address used. We may need information to confirm that a request concerns your own records. Available privacy rights and any exceptions depend on the law that applies to the request; a request does not itself confirm deletion.

Children and policy updates

This directory is intended for people researching property claims and professional services. It is not designed to collect information from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, contact the directory team. We will post policy changes on this page and update the date above.
