Cookie Policy
NYC Adjuster Guide uses a first-party analytics cookie and a browser storage preference. This page explains their purpose, duration, and the controls available to you.
The analytics cookie: _ra_uid
Our analytics script sets _ra_uid with a random visitor identifier and the date of the most recent visit. It uses this value in your browser to identify a first visit and the first visit of a day. The cookie lasts up to 365 days, with its expiry refreshed when the tracker runs. It is set for this website over HTTPS with Secure and SameSite=Lax attributes.
The analytics preference: _ra_ignore
If you turn analytics off using the link below, the site saves _ra_ignore with a value of 1 in localStorage. This is browser storage, not a cookie. It has no set expiry and remains until you enable analytics, clear this site's stored data, or your browser removes it. The preference applies only to this website in the browser where you set it.
What analytics sends and stores
The tracker sends the page path, referring website hostname, a device category based on screen width, and first-visit flags. Selected link and button clicks send the page and a short control label. Our analytics service stores daily counts, country-level information where available, and timestamped records for clicks classified as contact actions. A contact-action click is not proof that a message was delivered. The tracker does not read form fields or send the page query string in its analytics payload.
Cookie identifiers and service providers
The random cookie identifier is not included in the tracker's analytics message body. Because messages go to an address on this website, the browser can still send its cookies as part of the request. Requests are routed to our analytics service; hosting and analytics providers process them, and analytics records are stored using Google Cloud Firestore. Our site code does not load advertising pixels or advertising cookies.
Turn analytics off or back on
Turn off analytics in this browser or enable analytics again. These links require JavaScript and localStorage to be available. On the public HTTPS site, the opt-out stops this tracker before it sets its cookie or sends events. It does not delete an existing cookie or previously received records. Repeat your choice in other browsers and on other devices.
Other browser controls
You can delete _ra_uid or block cookies in browser settings. Blocking cookies alone does not stop this script from sending page and click events; use the opt-out link to stop the tracker. Clearing all site data also removes the opt-out preference, so set it again afterward if needed. Disabling JavaScript stops the tracker but also prevents the contact form from sending. The tracker does not currently check Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control browser signals.
When tracking runs
The tracker runs automatically on the public HTTPS site unless you have opted out. It does not run on HTTP pages, localhost, or Vercel preview domains ending in .vercel.app. There is no cookie consent banner in the current site. External websites reached through listings or source links have their own storage and privacy practices.
